Canberra Country Can has an experienced team and extensive modern fleet of vehicles. Regardless of how big or small your job is, we have the right vehicle to suit your needs — with courier vans, one-tonne trays, large trays, tautliners, semi/double trailers and tailgate lift trucks.
Courier vans
Our mid-panel and large-panel courier vans are a great size for almost any small-to-medium courier job. We can fulfil a large number of customer jobs with a mid-panel van making it a popular choice for customers who need small to medium packages delivered quickly and efficiently.
One-tonne trays
Our range of utes are a popular choice for couriering larger parcels as well as building equipment such as timber, plaster, bricks, electrical equipment, pipes and machinery. Soil, mulch, sand and gravel are also efficiently transported with one-tonne tray utes. These vehicles are more mobile than large-tray vehicles meaning they can get to and from your job quickly and efficiently.
Large trays
Large-tray or flatbed trailers often carry flat steel and coiled steel but due to their size and versatility, they can be used to carry a variety of products that don’t need to be enclosed and protected from the weather or climate. They also have an easier loading and unloading process due to the fact that they’re completely accessible on the top and on all sides. More suited for heavy loads such as large machinery and equipment, sheds, building structures, small homes, pools and other awkwardly-shaped items, large-tray vehicles are a good option for deliveries of large, weatherproof loads.
Tautliners
Tautliners provide as much freight security as any other type of utility cargo van or truck, and they also bring greater cargo capacity and access than cargo vans. Tautliners are most useful for palletised freight, i.e. freight that can be lifted using a forklift. However, large bags and other types of loads can be carried if secured properly – basically, anything that can be loaded from the side that is contained within itself or can be contained using dunnage or by other means. Some tautliners also allow loading from the top and can be used to carry woodchips and other loose freight.
Semi/double trailers
The benefit of an enclosed semi/double trailer is they help protect consumer products and other cargo that is sensitive to the weather and climate. However, they’re not climate-controlled inside and aren’t meant for cargo that needs specific temperatures. Another great aspect of these trailers is that they’re easier to secure than flatbeds—if an item shifts during transport, there’s at least the protection that the enclosed walls provide. Loading and unloading cargo also takes more time than flatbed trailers because there’s less room to maneuver.
Tailgate lift trucks
Tailgate lift trucks are ideal for the most demanding applications in the regular transport business, such as supermarket and food distribution. Folding tail lifts are the ideal tail lifts for distribution, vehicle rental companies, for vehicles where the maximum variable use is needed and/or vehicles for docking work.
